We continually strive to improve the quality of the league for both players and adult volunteers serving over 600 players this season. As we add players (more female players) and balance the ratio of older and younger players, we’ll select participants who exhibit advanced skills to play on a competitive “All Star” team. We’ll regularly offer opportunities for advanced licenses for our coaches, and continue to expand the opportunities for the League’s alumni players to remain involved as referees and assistant coaches. Our fields are located in the City of Newark’s recreation ball fields and Essex County Parks. We’ve developed a strong relationship with the Parks Department over the past 12 years, and we're working closely with them to find new ways to improve the quality of the space to be better suited for soccer. This year we'll be playing on the new state-of-the-art Essex County Andre Tippett Field and the newly renovated Kasberger Field. Over the next two years we'll looking forward to other “soccer specific” fields currently under consideration (Grafton Avenue Recreation Center) and renovation (School Stadium) All of this is possible thanks to the community partnerships with: |
