Oscar Rodriguez is the Executive Director of the Just One Soccer League (JOSL). Mr. Rodriguez has coached soccer for 15 years and helped establish the JOSL in 1996. Today the JOSL is a nationally recognized inner city soccer program that mentors children beyond recreational sports. The Program not only gives his players an opportunity to play, but Rodriguez also encourages the participants to contribute to the program when they’ve completed it. Former players return as coaches, referees, administrators and volunteers. Rodriguez also arranges coaching and referee education programs for volunteers parents and coaches. He wholeheartedly believes in the JOSL’s philosophy that just one person can make a difference. Today the program has over 600 children involved. In 2007, Oscar was nationally recognized as the US Youth Soccer Region I Coach of the Year for his coaching activities, sportsmanship, player development, personal coaching and citizenship.
