Coca-Cola Partnership

Through a partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association, Coca-Cola is helping communities across the U.S. improve their parks and recreation facilities. With Coca-Cola’s help, the City of Newark’s Waterfront recreation facility broke ground on a new multi-use field. In Collaboration with Just One Soccer!

TOP Soccer Training

We reccently hosted a training in partnership with NJ Youth Soccer. TOP Soccer is a community-based soccer program for young athletes with physical and mental disabilities athlete that provides a safe and fun environment for their child to participate in organized sports. These athletes compete with athletes of similar abilities. Any player, ages 4 and up, who possesses a physical or mental disability that limits their ability to perform at the level of play they have chosen to participate is eligible for the program. Emphasis of this program is on development, training, and providing meaningful participation rather than on competition.

Just One Soccer is begining the process to offer services to community members with disabilities. Our coaches are in training now. Let us know if you want to participate!

Family Tragedy

Recently a tragedy occurred for one of our Just One Soccer League families. Juan and Carmen Crespo, along with their children, were victims of a house fire that destroyed most of their possessions.

Both Juan and Carmen have been active members of our organization, volunteering as coaches for several years; their kids are also active participants in the League. Now is the time for us to come together and do what we do best by becoming Just One to make a difference and help one of ours.

We are asking for your support to help them and will be collecting donations at each registration event, starting at our early registration event this Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm at The Waterfront 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark NJ 07104.
